The cycle of poverty and homelessness can be broken. SOME's (So Others Might Eat) comprehensive programs are designed to help our neighbors experiencing homelessness and extreme poverty-find pathways out of poverty and achieve long-term stability and success. SOME is an interfaith, community-based service organization that exists to help and support residents of our nation's capital experiencing homelessness and poverty.

SOME offers a range of services to help you meet basic needs, receive healthcare and other treatment, train for a living-wage career, obtain safe and affordable housing, and more. Showers are available by appointment in the afternoon for transgender persons, people with medical referrals, people with disabilities, and other authorized emergencies.
