Louisville Urban League

Supporting the work of the Louisville Urban League is a simple choice! With your membership, you join us as an active partner, leader, and catalyst in assisting Black people and other marginalized groups attain social and economic equality and stability through direct services that focus on Jobs, Justice, Education, Health, and Housing.

Last year because of the League, 512 men and women were placed in jobs, 435 individuals were given a second chance at life through the Reily Reentry Project, 370 youth benefitted from our educational programming, more than 2,300 barriers that we take for granted, such as transportation and hunger, were removed, and 85 families purchased their first home. The Louisville Urban League's Center for Workforce Development helps families to become economically stable. The Center for Workforce Development (CWD) is a resource to individuals who are actively involved in job search, seeking a career change or in need of job training.

Kentuckiana Builds helps you get the skills to thrive in the Louisville area's building and infrastructure boom. Kentuckiana Builds can prepare you for a quality profession like electrician, carpenter, fiber optic installer, welder and many more. We can equip you with the hands-on skills you'll need for the job and connect you to local employers who are hiring.

Louisville Urban League (LUL) has teamed up with Facility Management Services (FMS), a janitorial service in town and one of our community partners, to create a new program, "Clean Start." Anyone who signs onto Clean Start can enjoy the peace of mind that LUL's wraparound services afford - helping people pay their rent and utilities, find reliable transportation, and seek mental health counseling. In addition, the folks in Clean Start also get peace of mind another way: Stable employment through FMS.
