Jenna Kelly is hands down the best recruiter I've ever worked with! I've gone through temp agencies before but my experience with EA and in particular with Jenna has been top-tier. After an almost year-long gap in my resume from the pandemic, Jenna managed to set me up on interviews within the week of me sending her my application. I got offered a temp position an hour after my 2nd round of interviews and started working the next day.

Fast forward 4 weeks later, and I have been offered a permanent position with my company. Transitioning from EA to my current company has been seamless and smooth. I am so happy with my experience through EA, and am incredibly fortunate I got to work with a recruiter with such unbridled integrity and professional acumen.

Ethan Allen sort of found me first, they sent me out on one interview before I even met them. I asked if I should come in and they said yes before sending me out on another interview right away. Very nice staff and very professional. I ended up employed by the second interview they sent me too after 4 months of being their temp. Katherine (my temp agency boss) had great advice for me and was always available to talk me through any situation including my transition and any HR matters. Thanks to Ethan Allen I found my dream job that I see myself at for many many years possibly forever. I definitely recommend them!

I visited this company today in search of work. I thought it would be nice to call ahead of time to state that I may be running late due to a queasy stomach. I made it exactly on time and was told to reschedule because I vomited. After driving one hour and 30 minutes from the Bronx being turned away did not make me a happy guest. Since Ethan Allen had their policies about "sick" people showing up for interview when in all essence they are not doctors and I assured them that I was fine and looked perfectly presentable and healthy for my interview.

On top of that I was told that since I am from the Bronx I should not have applied for a position. So, my mailing address stated Bronx does not mean that I am presently living there. After leaving Ethan Allen, I felt like I was an infectious disease and the fake cliches in the manager's explanation on company policy further insulted my intelligence. think the staff needs full training in social work services In spite of a friend's misgiving about the place I decided to give them a try and now I am warning everyone to stay away from this place.

At first I did not believe all the negative comments on here but I was proven wrong. A couple of years ago I applied to an ad through EA. I went in and did the interview process and I never heard anything back. Last year I saw another ad that I was more than qualified for and did the process all over again and of course no answer. I just figured there was someone better qualified then me.

So about four months ago I applied for a position again at EA. This was the quickest they have ever gotten back to me. The woman who called told me "to stop applying to positions and if a job comes along that they think I am QUALIFIED for, then they would reach out to me." I told them to tear up my application and to delete me from their computers, and even if a job comes back that they think I am qualified for to give it to some one else.

I can not work for a company that is extremely rude and unprofessional. A company that comes off as if the don't give to cents about their employees/candidates and only seem to care about making money. In the end I got a job, of course without their help! Everyone will have their own experience! I just wanted to share what I went through and from the looks of it I may not be alone!

Everyone has their own experience that may be either positive or negative. This is just the experience I had! Best of luck to all that use this company. I hope your experience was a lot better then mine!

Ethan Allen is a great company to work with! The recruiters are hands on and very helpful! Would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for work!

I have been signed up with them for over 6 months now. They have not helped me find a job and are not responsive at all. They were generally nice. Just not helpful at all. When I first went in, i was under the impression I was there for an actual job interview, then turns out they just wanted me to sign up with them to help me find a job. They couldn't even help me with that. I would apply numerous times to jobs through their website since they weren't being helpful and nothing. I would email them to follow up, never would get any response.

Frankly, my advice to anyone looking for a job is to collect aluminum cans first before resorting to these unbelievably rude, ignorant and back stabbing people in this place. I had worked on several assignments with them and made them a whole lot of money (employer was paying EA $25 per hour while I was making $11 p hr.) However after I got sick and had to be hospitalized, I had to stop working and wanted to collect unemployment insurance (being a single mother of 2 kids). EA blocked my unemployment stating that I had quit the job!

After proving to the Dept of Labor that I had indeed been sick, they gave me my unemployment benefits. However, during the time I was not collecting benefits, I got into extreme debt and was 6 months past due on my rent. If not for a wonderful and understanding landlord I would've been put out in the street with my children thanks to Ethan Allen.

Please save yourselves from unnecessary insanity, anger and frustration and go find a job anywhere else on Earth besides these abusers of people just trying to earn a living. Yea, they're really sweet in the beginning but once they're cut off of making money because crap happens in life through no fault of our own, they stab you in the back and twist the knife.

I've had a hard time finding a job until I came across Ethan Allen. A great business that genuinely helps those in need of employment. Katherine was great, she found me a job that I am extremely happy with, and through the whole process she was very efficient, supportive, and always helpful with any questions or concerns I had. I had a great experience at Ethan Allen and I highly recommend them!

This place is one of the worst job recruitment. sorry the worst ever. Don't even waste your time with them. They lie and treat their workers horrible. All the jobs are lowball jobs and their employees at the Poughkeepsie location are extremely mean. Do yourself a HUGE favor and work for someone else. Also I was with them for 4 months and diddnt get one job offer for my skill and everything else was a low paying hard working job for 2 weeks or less. If you don't believe me then go ahead and see for yourself. WASTE OF TIME AND THEY DEGRADE YOU.

Katherine at the Fishkill Ethan Allen location was a pleasure to work with. When I contacted her back in April of 2016, she immediately found me a job. I had never worked with a staffing agency before so I was unsure of what to expect, but was quite pleased with working with them. I had applied to one of their jobs online, but when she saw my resume she immediately told me that I was over qualified for that position and she would find me something that would be a better match and she did! So here I am now employed by the company she found me a temp job at and very happy!

Ethan Allen is a wonderful place to work, the staff really tries to find the best matches for finding you work. They are very helpful and take into account your skills, needs and preferences when matching you to places. The staff at Ethan Allen are easy to communicate with and truly try to find the best fit for you.

I signed up with them 18 months ago. They seem nice in the office have gotten a few phone calls asking if they can send my resume out to a potential company, but have they never followed up with an actual interview. I have gotten more assignment thru manpower. I'm not sure what the issues are with Ethan Allen but they can't make money with me unless they send me out on interviews. They seem busy but they just seem like they aren't working hard enough on my behalf to keep me working so we all can make money.

Ive gone through several Employment Agencies before and can say without a doubt this has been my worst experience by far. Not only did this employment agency flat out LIE where the job I applied for was held, they didn't even attempt to contact my references and even asked ME to call them myself and demand they call Ethan Allen regarding my app. I've never had to do that before and it seemed highly unprofessional.

Not to mention that the rep I was assigned to actually used white-out on my resume and official documents. What a joke this place is. Do not go here, its a complete waste of time and they will have you (if they manage to actually put you in somewhere) travelling further for the job then you intend, sometimes even in another city.

I would give this place five stars. Sadly for them, you can't earn stars for wasting people's time. The staff is completely vapid and inept. They have no idea who or what they are staffing for - save for office biddy type jobs. I'm sure they are great at filling worthless jobs like bank tellers and HR personnel. Nobody in that building has a technical bone in their body. Honestly, it might be too much to ask them not put little hearts over their lowercase i's.

Wow. Major waste of my time. I would've had better luck standing on a corner with illegal immigrants to get steady work. Seriously, this company exists for the purpose of connecting companies that need to get rid of junk or tear out some carpets with day laborers. So if you're a person with a resume or a college degree run in the other direction. They're horrible when it comes to returning calls too.and when they do call you.its for crap an hour away that involves a shovel. Get real!
