Services
Workforce Connections, Inc. is a non-profit organization that partners with the One-Stop Wisconsin Job Centers partners. Since 1983, Workforce Connections, Inc. has assisted job seekers, laid-off workers, and youth with career planning, job search assistance, and skills training. In addition, employers are assisted with a wide array of services, including recruiting, retaining, and training of employees.
Doug Billings has been the VP of Sales & Marketing for Empire Screen Printing since 2004 as well as an instructor of marketing, business and supervisory management at Western Technical College. He serves on the Western Marketing Advisory Committee and La Crosse Oktoberfest Board of Directors. He is married to Rachele and has three kids Courtney, Gabe and Cayden and one grandson Blake.
Experiencing health issues, Jenny relocated to the La Crosse area to be closer to her family. She recently enrolled into FSET. Within 3 days of enrolling she obtained part-time employment. FSET benefits provided Jenny transportation assistance and clothing for interviews. She continues to look for full-time employment and has stated that the services FSET offers has helped her to be successful. Since joining the program she has also completed the FAFSA and is considering going back to school to finish her degree.
Western Wisconsin Job Centers provide services online and on-site in La Crosse. Services include assistance with job search, referrals and placements; access to training; community resources; and re-employment services, unemployment insurance and job recruitment. Also available (at select locations) are specialized staff for veterans, business services, older workers, vocational rehabilitation, dislocated workers, National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC) representatives, and apprenticeship program services.

My client has been waiting on them since September. He's very independent. They don't reach out to us or anything. I think we've given up. We went to a meeting last month and they hadn't even put any applications in yet.
