Horrible customer service! I have called several times regarding incorrect pay and they said that a manager would call me back to handle my situation however I still have yet to hear anything. Something that should be resolved ASAP is now 3 weeks later yet to be resolved. I would not recommend this business to anyone.

Horrible customer service. They messed up my HSA contribution and customer service rep told me they couldn't reimburse HSA even though they were the ones who made a mistake. Also why does it take 3-5 business days to process this case while most companies can resolve customer issues right away. just absolutely horrible

Trinet is a cheap way to implement HR for your company and is a great service if you don't respect your employees at all. Their only goal is to provide legal protections to companies for employee procedures, and they do it by being rigid, cruel, and draconian. Unfortunately, they are also incompetent. They will mess things up regularly, and no one on the phone will be willing to help you.

They have "secret" escalation levels that require your employees to speak to customer service aggressively to get a resolution to an error caused by Trinet. As an employee, I have spent at least 20 hours attempting to resolve Trinet issues in the past year, and it never gets easier. If you're lucky, someone will pretend to solve your issue and tell you to wait "3-5 business days" aka 5 business days aka 7-8 calendar days before attempting to determine if the issue is resolved. This business is so inept I wouldn't be surprised if it were to face a class action lawsuit, and I wouldn't want to be one of their clients at that time.

Their support is infuriating, and it's unfortunate that I've had so many dealings with them. As an HR manager, this is the worst platform I've been on.

I have to agree with all the negative reviews of TriNet. I have been trying to cancel United Health Care coverage for 2 months now. I am retired military, and have medical coverage under my military pension and dont need medical coverage. Every time I call them to cancel they escalate me to Tier 2, and I sort of feel that I am making traction. At the end the Tire 2 phone call, they always say that they are elevating my case to tier 3 and that they will need 2-3 days to review my case and get back to me.

After 3 days to waiting, I find that there is some other form or piece of information that they need. I call them on the phone again, starting all over at Tier1, get escalated to Tier 2, and at the end of the call my case is yet again escalated to Tier 3, and that it will take 2-3 business days for Tier 3 to get back to me. I have done this game of theirs, 3 times.

I asked the Tier 2 person, what level of authority/responsibility that they have in making decisions. They told me that they have none, and that they just make sure the papers are correct for the Tier 3 people. I asked if I can talk to Tier 3, but Tier 3 does not have a phone number. I ask to talk to the Tier 2 supervisor, and they tell me that no supervisor is available.

I am at the end of my wits with Trinet, and decided to quit my job. I will NEVER work for another company who uses TriNet. And yes I had a valid life change event to cancel the insurance. The issue is TriNet's lack of follow through. This sucks!

If you are considering onboarding with Trinet, don't do it, just run away. I wish I had. This has been one of the worst management decisions I have made for our business. We've been with them for three months and it's a nightmare. When we were supposed to on-board the wrong benefits were assigned to our employees and it took weeks to resolve.

All the time I should have spent helping our employees transition and learning the system were wasted on their mistakes. They cannot even get our payroll information to import correctly into QBs, which was one of the main reason I switched PEOs. Nothing works right and customer support is disjointed or non-existent. As for promised cost savings, they disappeared too.

I have been trying for 6 months to cancel my COBRA. All I ever get is an automated response. I have sent 10 or more e-mails and called 3 times. TriNet is worthless.

Like many of the reviews have noted, Trinet appears to have essentially gutted any type of responsive customer service. This fundamentally undermines the whole point of utilizing the third party paid administrator. I think trying it is depending on the fact that it is a real hassle to change PEOs, but we will be going through that process at the end of the year due to the severe decline in support.

Absolute worst company that does care about employees or the wellbeing of any company. Everything is always handed off to someone else and no one wants to deal with anything. If they make a mistake they will not fix it. You will be left fighting for your rights.

I have been using Trinet for over 3 years. We are a small company. Our agreement was $100/M fee and thankfully it never changed until one day in January 2021 they sent a subtle email stating the minimum fee per company is now $1000. $1000!, thats 10X what our original agreement was. For small companies like mine, thats an unreasonable jump. Obviously we had to cancel our plan which screwed up employee benefits etc.

Which reputable company does something like this? Screwing over small companies mid-pandemic. Disgusting. Why would anyone use them if they can randomly just change their fees at any point? Stay away

I run an organization that has been with TriNet for about 1 year and ~5 months. They were so-so as a PEO, but since the beginning of 2021, they've just fallen off a cliff. Their monthly minimum service charge went from $600 to $1,000 and the only "notification" they claim to have sent is an email from an unrecognized email address that as far I can tell I never received (or that it went directly into my spam). Furthermore, they sent this email after the enrollment period had already elapsed to ensure that smaller organizations might end up being forced to stay with them for an extra year. Then, after discovering this additional charge, they choose to charge $100 per employee in order to terminate early and avoid paying even FURTHER charges.

I am currently speaking with customer service and will update after that process concludes, but thus far I would recommend avoiding this company. JustWorks, Gusto, and others can serve small businesses better.

I have been using Trinet to get health insurance for almost two years. They had a change in their new total minimum monthly service fee that was communicated to me in January. The service fee increased from $150 to $750 as I'm a single member LLC. My Trinet payments doubled from from $632 to $1,221. The issue I have here is that this change took place after open enrollment date, therefore, I am stuck either paying double, or being without insurance.

They claimed that they gave me advance notice, however, it truly does not matter how much notice they gave me as my situation stays the same with open enrollment being in November and the change being communicated in January. On top of that, they are trying to charge me $100 early termination fee. I signed up based on the agreement that these fees would not change, but since they do, I am now being penalized for it because I cannot afford the price change. It's very disheartening and I'm incredibly dissatisfied.

While I had Trinet & it worked well for me, this just really gave me a bad taste in my mouth. Definitely read the fine print with what you sign with Trinet. I spoke to customer service as well as an account manager but "their hands were tied". While I understand it's not their fault, I was left with no other options.

We've used Trinet for about 4 years as we grew from 4 to 14 employees. In early 2021, they switched away from having a dedicated account rep for our company to sending all our requests to an email box that seems to be managed by waaaay too few people. They are currently advertising a 72-hour response rate, and I'd say it's closer to 6 business days.

It takes so long to get a response that it's almost not worth asking. We're taking our business elsewhere and I would suggest others think hard before getting involved. We've gotten quotes from other PEOs that are about half the price and also offer a dedicated account rep.

They changed their support system. They no longer have dedicated reps, now you go into a queue - a black hole. Have a timely question and need a quick response? Forget about it. If you can wait a few days (or more) for an answer, this may be a good option for you. Before they changed their support system, they offered discounts f you commit for a year. That's a clear indication that they knew their customers would not be happy and will want out. And they are not cheap!

I am a current Trinet customer and have been using Trinet for over a year now. Trinet wasnt fantastic but it was ok and I had a go to payroll person who would help us with any payroll issues and give me a heads up on any special deadlines, etc. Since covid, they have changed their process to this thing called CONNECT360. I was told that its supposed to help and improve the response time. CONNECT 360 works like your retailer customer service. you have to email then and then you get a ticket number and then you have to wait about 1-2 weeks to get your answer.

I had ONE simple PTO request and that took 2 weeks and messed up my payroll as a result of the delayed response. I CANNOT recommend enough that you do not use Trinet. You will honestly thank me. We are trying to get out of it and shopping for other platforms but meanwhile, I will try my best to save others the hassle & $$.

Trinet is the worst! I work for a small business that uses them to provide our benefits in Tampa Florida. Their onboarding was a train wreck and required several calls to even get signed up for benefits. Trying to get dependent care reimbursement took several calls with a rep (min 10min to even get someone on the phone). On each call the reps claim the issue has been resolved yet never is. If you're a small - mid size firm looking for someone to manage your benefits - Don't use Trinet.

Terrible customer service. If I treated my clients the way they have treated me, I would not be in business. As an account manager, I look out for the best interest of my clients. Wish I could say the same for this group of ass hats.

I had previously given them a bad review, because of how they handled the debit card to my FSA account. Basically, they shouldn't cancel the card when you leave that employer. They should keep the card active until the balance drops to zero. A small hassle to get my money, but I did. This update is for that I'm doing my 2019 taxes now, yes, I took advantage of the extension from April 15 to July 15. :-) That employer did not send me a W-2 form. Ugh. But, I logged in using my old Trinet account everything was still there, and a few mouse clicks later, I had my W-2. Cool. :-) A small additional note is that using TurboTax, you can auto download the W-2 info too, so that is a small time saver. Thanks.

Our Company moved over to TriNet's leased employee model and we have paid the ultimate price for a horrible decision. We have struggled with recruitment and retention due to the fact that TriNet has an increasingly bad reputation. We have actually lost out on several incredibly challenging positions and the candidates cited TriNet as the specific reason for not taking the job.

We have lost good employees due to the fact that we can no longer make our own policies that support our employees. Instead we are forced to use TriNet employment policies that DO NOT fit our culture. I have received about 15 complaints from employees saying the customer service representatives are terrible to work with and they are constantly fighting with the benefit providers denying all of their claims.

Our employees are especially upset that we went from our own broker and benefits that worked, to a broken system. Our employees were furious when they starting researching TriNet and realized we had every opportunity to know this would be a mess ahead of time. If recruitment and retention issues weren't bad enough, after six months with TriNet our cost went up 114%. Our company ignored every red flag and still went forward. We can not wait to get out of our contract. Hopefully, we will still have employees left.

Incredibly frustrated with their customer service team. There was an issue that occurred that will result in incorrect W-2s being issued in early 2020. I reached out to them in October of this year detailing the issue. I then reached back out to check on the escalation three weeks later. The issue was still not resolved. A week or two after that, I receive an email reiterating my original issue that I had provided to their team as my "solution". Honestly, maybe this company is simply too big in terms of the number of clients or understaffed to deal with individual tax issues. But, if that's the case, maybe they should get out of the business of trying to handle these matters for companies?

A C-level executive in my current organization is having similar frustrations due to an unrelated issue. We have now switched to a competitor in the sphere. While competitor's will also not be perfect- they do seem to be a bit more attentive to critical issues that come up for employees. Please think twice before starting a partnership with them.

This is a scam They talked us into it w the promise that our medical issues were not issues in their 100k plus plan. so a year after they took $5k signup from us they jacked our premiums by over 90% Save yourself the time and effort and skip the TriNet Trap.

One of the worst HR company I have dealt with. TriNet made me wait a duplicate pay check that I had lost 12 months ago. That was after telling me series of lies and incorrect information. I am amazed how bad can be customer service at a HR company. I would not recommend any one doing business with such a company with sub standard customer service.
