This company reminds me of my ex girlfriend. Except instead of her calling to remind me how much energy and time I wasted caring at all for someone who cannot even care for themselves, I'm reminded that in a moment of desperation I shared my number with a recruiter who I didn't screen first. Do not make the same mistake and give them any way to contact you.

Even when the rejection letters are pouring in, and only the bad memories of your past relationships seem real, remember that you have more value than Pyramid places on you in the way they do business. You are worth more than the low rate this company will pressure you to accept and you deserve better than to enable them to continue their manipulative business practices.

You are worth more than the way your terrible ex treated you. Try to ignore how it sounds like the desperate employee on the other end of the line is relying on you to keep their family from starving. Just like it wouldn't be wise to send your ex a few bucks for a night out (even though you know she's just getting drunk with Brad because that's all they do), it's best not to make what's happening on the phone into your problem. I'm a sensitive person and I can fall for people pleasing at times, but talking to Pyramid once and having to block three different numbers to stop them from bothering me reminds me mostly of when we first broke up.

I was so mad you made me have to leave you, Stephanie. I guess I was only angry because I felt threatened. It was kind of unfair for me to expect you to read my mind and do everything exactly right for me. It was partly my insecurity and not only your actions that made me feel like I didn't belong with you anymore. Maybe if I had been aware of that earlier, our breakup would have been more about two adults going separate ways, rather than one adult scream-crying "you were supposed to make me happy!" while the other one immediately started texting that piece of #%^* Brad.

I hope Brad goes *#^%ing bald before the honeymoon is over and you have to sit there for years just looking at him- I would not recommend doing any business with this company. There is always a better option.

I got a cold call voice message from a person who said she was a recruiter with Pyramid Consulting. In my opinion, a cold call is a red flag because in my many experiences with legitimate staffing firms like 24 Seven, Aquent, and Robert Half over many years, I have never received a cold call from any of them. They don't even initiate the first conversation about a position they are trying to fill with a phone call when I'm already in their database.

They always start with an email. Other staffing firms that I have not worked with have contacted me on LinkedIn. So, a phone call is a red flag as a first contact method. So I started to research the company which brought me here. And what do I find? Someone posted an email that he received from a recruiter at Pyramid Consulting which matched word for word, until the part about the type of position, to the email that the recruiter sent to me as a follow-up to her voice message. I'm very appreciative to those who took the time to share their experiences because I honestly was not sure if I should trust this company or not. I was only suspicious until I read the reviews.

Before I graduated, they gave me an offer to join in there Java Full Stack Developer cohort training before placing into their clients. I felt that was a good transition from my college to my career. After 3 months paid training, I was placed to a client, their pay was lower than the job market, if the clients not in the huge cities are fine, but their pay rate restrict the promotion.

When they paid me for moving into the location of their clients, after a weekend, they suddenly terminated me because of my personality when I had kickoff with my teams of client. Even though I got feedback from them, but their actions of terminated me made me feel bad about it. Fortunately I got a new job which pays much better than Pyramid Consulting after a month.

And I realized that they placed me in one of their clients but I see no regular job representatives from their clients. Fake and scams staffing agency, it's not flexible that when you get an offer outside of their contract, you are afraid of quitting because they will penalized you up to $20k

Terrible recruitment company. Big time communication breakdown as nobody truly can answer your English. Just like most recruitment agencies, it's all about submitting your profile for the sake of making a quota. I was hired onto a project this year and I was not told by the Pyramid recruiter or the manager of my position that I would be required to wear a facemask onsite all day indoors AND outdoors.

I couldn't last more than two days then I had to leave the project because I would not comply with such a stupid mandate. Pyramid NEVER paid me for the two days I was there, and their excuse is because I wasn't able to submit my timesheet, which was their fault to begin with as they never set it up for my first day. They refuse to pay me for two days.

They are what's wrong with the job industry, recruitment middle men are the worst. Businesses need to go back to doing their own hiring. Do not trust this recruiter. Terrible service and unprofessional.

I believe these guys are scammers. I have received numerous calls and emails from them. There actually was a position I was interested in and connected with a woman named Alisa. She had what seemed like the perfect job for me and she asked that I email an updated resume to her, which I did. She was going to call the next day, but I didn't hear from her so I call her.

She said she was waiting on approval and would call me later. She did not call. I called her the next day, told her my name and she hung up on me. I called there world headquarters and there is no one there to answer the phones. Bottom line, be aware that they are trying to collect as much information about you for non job related purposes. Who knows what they will do with it. Just don't give them your private information.

It sure does seem like their recruiters have some kind of quota or something and they are just trying to spam as much people to meet it because a couple of them reached out to gauge interest in a particular role, and I responded, but haven't had any further communication since. Terrible service, terrible business model.

TL;DR: Work with Gaurav Kaul, try to understand their business model, keep your expectations low. I hope the fact that this is my one and only Yelp review doesn't take too much credibility away from this. I can see that others have had some pretty negative experiences with this company and that needs to be seen and respected. To be honest it does seem like part of this company's business model is sheer volume; they place candidates, they get paid; they don't place, they don't get paid. etc.

Maybe that's how things get sloppy. I can also see that there might be some problems with respect to candidate gender and diversity, I can't personally speak to that but that ought to be a concern. If they're spamming you, that's a red flag. And if they're asking for super sensitive information up front, that's quite obviously a poor business practice. So, for what it's worth, here's my experience. Pyramid reached out to me about an opportunity at a Fortune 50 (yes, 50) company, a very attractive opportunity at that, one that I believed strongly could put my career in hyperdrive.

Long story short it did! I went through an interview process I found to be pretty vigorous and challenging, ended up being offered the position, I accepted it, and all in all it was great, great team, challenging work, and the people at Pyramid were really invested in my success. Ultimately I decided that the benefits of working as a contractor, even on a W2, didn't meet the needs of my family, but the experience I got through the position that Pyramid helped me land put me in a hugely advantageous position. I'm super, super thankful.

Maybe I lucked out? My experience didn't square with most of the reports here, but I think the key was a combination of low expectations on my part, and that maybe I worked with some of the best people at Pyramid. It's just a theory. From the outside, their business culture seems really. uh, entrepreneurial? It seems like they enable individual recruiters/staff to do things how they see best, but maybe this results in huge variation in the experience one can have with them.

For what it's worth, Gaurav Kaul was the recruiter I worked with and he was just the best, very professional and forthcoming. As to people commenting about people from India or Indian accents, come on, you gotta ditch that xenophobia. It's obviously a business run and owned by people from India and that ought not have a bearing on anything. Perhaps I don't have this bias because I've worked with people from India for many years.

These guys are FRAUD. They are very condescending to women. I have not been treated so rudely in a very long time. The recruiters and account managers are only concerned about money

Spam. Sent me numerous emails stating they found my "profile on one of the job boards and feel that your skills and professional experience would be a good fit". I am self employed. I do not have a profile on any job board. So they have lied about how they got my email address and why they are contacting me. They have ignored requests to remove me from their list.

Seems to be a scam. Someone called Anshul called me and talked to me about a position. I asked about what the job responsibilities were and he gave me a very vague two line answer. Even the job description didn't seem complete enough to qualify as a real job. He asked me for the last 4 digits of my social security and DOB to create a 'unique id'.

No reputable staffing company that I have ever spoken with has asked me for my SSN or last 4 digits ever in the first call. Fake written all over. Stay away from these people.

They keep calling me and asking about "Adobe" which is actually a platform I'm familiar with but they pronounce it incorrectly. Gives me a laugh but clearly this is fake. Do not interact with them or give them any personal information unless you plan on just doing it to waste their time for your own enjoyment!

This company utilizes a spamming company to push out job applications that don't even remotely apply to you. Every company I encounter using this portal will begin getting 1 stars until I get off this master list which is clotting my email veins. I'm updating from 1 star to 2 given the personal response I just received regarding the system problem they are experiencing.

I will update again if (1) the third party stops sending me emails through a unified optout system or (2) the third party responsible for spamming is no longer partnered with Pyramid.
