Ole Handy Man Today, we're one of the leading handyman/home remodeling services in the Dallas/ Fort Worth Metroplex. From my very first job, this has been my pledge to my customer: Until you are happy with our performance, we aren't finished. This isn't a hollow promise. More than 2,300 of our customers have been repeat customers. Mike has been our repair and redecorating expert (repainting) for twenty years with both houses we have owned in Texas. We like his honesty about what needs to be done and what it will cost.
Services
It's simple: Serve the customer's needs. Don't leave the job until the client says that the job is right. Be honest, be sincere, be upfront and, above all, be dependable. I also believe in treating my employees as well as my customers fairly and with integrity. If that sounds like the Golden Rule at work, I believe that it is.
It is my privilege to recommend Mike Finch's Ole Handy Man services. Mike has helped us with several projects at Midway Baptist Church and is always putting forth the 'extra effort' to ensure that we are pleased with the work and that everything looks 'first-class'.
Call us today at 214-507-8891. If we aren't able to answer, just leave your name, phone number and a message and we'll get back to you shortly. I cannot thank you enough for the job you did remodeling my master bath. Every decision was made to please me, the customer. I was even impressed with how you guided me through the process of choosing colors and textures when I was in doubt.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH MIKE FINCH, aka Ole Handyman! Mike Finch contacted us to do some slate tile cleaning. We supplied him with an estimate, and then we completed the cleaning per the estimate. Over 45 days later and after numerous phone calls, emails, texts and certified letters, we still have not been paid for the work we completed. As a fellow Christian, it is extremely disappointing to see someone like Ole Handyman display the cross and ichthus symbol on his website, and then not pay his subcontractors for work completed.

Ole Handy Man really messed us up. He and his subcontractors rebuilt our master bedroom bathroom several years ago. One portion of their work included a custom built cabinet with sink. This unit recently and spontaneously detached from the bathroom wall and exterior shower wall, leaving a huge gap around the outer back edge. Our home has not experienced any foundation issues, no cracks in walls or floors, so this cabinet movement cannot be blamed on "the house." The original bathroom cabinets in our other bathroom isstill perfectly in place.

We were told the entire job would take about 4 days. After 3 weeks and a string of errors due to either incompetence and apathy of the contractors he was using at the time, I had to finally release Ole Handy Man and hire someone else to finish a portion of the job. Of course, not before most of the original quote had already been paid. The cabinet maker who created and installed the sink cabinet unit accidentally busted an end-cap off a water pipe during installation and re-flooded the bathroom, which took a week to dry out.

The ceramic mason installed unfinished and misaligned decorative trim, which he later had to remove and reinstall. His son put in decorative tile crooked and that had to be popped out and redone, as well. A carpenter who was supposed to replace a portion of a walk-in closet door frame did something wrong so that the closet doors would no longer close.

At one point, I caught him using a dull pocket knife to carve out the door hinge slots (see pictures). That's when I fired Old Handy Man and had to hire a real carpenter to replace the entire frame, which is what should have been done in the first place. Our parting of ways was ugly. He threatened to sue me for not "honoring" the contract and paying him the remaining few hundred dollars of a $3000+ job, which I was forced to use to pay the new carpenter to do the job right.

Please do yourself a favor and do not use him. We called him, he agreed to come to the house for an estimate, he was 1/2 hour late when he showed up to my gate house. He then proceeded to call me and ask for my code, when I instructed him he needs to log in via the call in service he said "hell no" hung up and left. I called and texted him and he never responded. I am blown away by how unprofessional people can be in this area of work.
