You already know Goodwill as a place to shop for bargains and donate your gently used clothing and household items, but did you know that there is more to Goodwill than the store?. When you donate to Goodwill, your unwanted items are sold in our retail stores and online. With the money raised from these sales, Goodwill can help people overcome barriers to self-sufficiency, through the Power of Work.

You donate and shop, and Goodwill provides job training programs and employment placement services to people with disabilities, those who lack education or job experience, and others facing challenges to finding employment.
Services
The cost of disposing certain items takes away from funds we invest in our employment and training programs. We appreciate your donations and your help in keeping unsafe, broken or non-working, recalled or banned items out of our stores. Goodwill operates a number of convenient donation centers throughout Delaware and Delaware County, PA, Our Goodwill associates are eager to assist you and are available to accept your donations 7 days a week. We suggest that large furniture items be donated at your local Goodwill store location for best donation assistance.
In addition to the revenues generated through Goodwill's retail stores and other businesses, we depend upon the support of our community to fund our job training and placement programs. Monetary gifts and bequests to Goodwill are tax-deductible, as provided by law.
To improve the customer experience, Goodwill of Delaware and Delaware County has made several changes to the vehicle donation and auction processes. Those interested in donating a vehicle (car, truck, RV, pop-up camper, motorcycle or boat on trailer) are encouraged to phone the Goodwill Vehicle Donation Hotline at 1 (866) 492-2770, which is staffed 24-hours a day, seven days a week.
Your group can help people in our community find meaningful employment by holding a cost-free Goodwill donation drive! Donation drives create meaningful engagement opportunities for schools, communities, teams, and businesses, while fostering social and environmental stewardship. All donated items are resold in our retail stores, and the proceeds fund programs and services for individuals facing barriers to employment. Please note all requests are subject to availability.

Goodwill offers some inexpensive treasures if your up for the hunt! Sometimes you'll be elated because the things one wants are available at a nominal cost, and, other times, not so lucky. Try different locations. Wed.they offer a senior discount. Happy hunting!

I recently bought a very nice ottoman just like new for $10.00 just what I needed for the end of my bed. I go here first, then if I don't see what I need, I go retail. I want to maximize every dollar of my hard earned money

Lea Blvd store keep changing their policy & prices. I was able to return items to any goodwollg but now you have to return it where you purchased it. Prices are too high for items they are receiving for free. They say all shoes & clothes is 1 set price unless it's a designer item then the price goes up. Why?

They should put a "go away" sign outside the donation door. They told me and others to go to another drop off place because they were full. Not true. Just lazy. The other Goodwill in Boothwyn, Pa would not help unload $600 of brand new books. Told me to set them on the ground in the rain. I should have sold them on eBay and donated the cash to an appreciative charity. Management problem. Tell the managers and they don't care. Good luck with the junk you receive because the trashman would not take it.

The people who work there are friendly and very helpful. They ask what are you looking for and help you find it. They are well stocked with furniture when I come in and the people in the warehouse help you load your purchase in your car if you need help.

I do complain about the prices sometimes for stuff they receive for free but a lady behind me admonished me since she has placed their trainees in jobs and she explained their importance. I always walk out with something I can use in staging my listings and love the outlet stores in Rosedale and Carroll Island. In Rosedale they weigh your stuff! My fave store is Jacksonville. If you donate don't forget to get a receipt which has a coupon for your next purchase and Wednesday is senior day. Love my senior discounts!

Just like a community yard sale you have to rummage through all the used & most of the time dirty disgusting items that other people have donated but eventually you will find what you're looking or something close to it @ an price that's unbelievably cheap. Then you will find other merchandise that you are interested in also. Their staff on the sales floor have great customer service & interpersonal skills.

If you purchase anything big like furniture, tables etc. You bring an extra set of hands with you & be prepared to load, tie it down & disassemble it without ANY help of the goodwill employee's working in the "drop off & pick-up" area. I have purchased items multiple times that needed to be disassembled & was way to heavy to load myself & their employees stood there & watched me struggle to load it myself.

One time he actually closed the garage door on me while I was trying to get my merchandise loaded into my car & the very next time he loaded half of the table & realized there needed to be some finesse in the loading process & gave up walked away & ignored me.

This Goodwill has gone off the deep end with their prices. Want a drumhead with a big hole in it? 60$. I come back here because its close but almost never buy anything because its so expensive- they fail to realize they are not a boutique in Fairfax, VA. Somebody tell them this is a Goodwill in Dover, DE. Cheese and Rice!

I really only had one issue with these guys: they arrange the clothes by size, and then by color. But they're not too serious about it overall. I'm not a fan of that by-color thing. I'd rather see clothing divided by type so I can find what I want more rapidly. But having said that, this place had a lot of treasures to yield! I saw a bunch of Vera Bradley purses safe behind glass. I got a perfect sweatshirt, french terry and a gorgeous design. The dressing rooms were quite large, staff was kind and friendly. Very nice joint!
