The best thing I did was going to Houston city personnel, Charlotte is great and helps you get placed in a perfect position just for you. She will always keep in touch with you to make sure you're happy with your placement, I'm so so satisfied with my new job! be prepared to have a new career after walking out of Houston city personnel.

Houston City Personnel helped me find my dream job and I am extremely grateful! Houston City Personnel is the job recruiting agency that any and all job seeking individuals should consider. The staff is very professional, they are careful to place potential employees with the right potential employer. While we are all trying to get along during the COVID-19 battle, this company remained poised, solid, consistent and resistant to the issues and complications brought about as a result of the pandemic.
I am truly grateful for Jenna and Erin. I relocated from Austin back to my hometown of Houston, Texas, only a few days before our country shutdown. The legal industry began layoffs and furloughs in late-March 2020. I became very concerned that I would never find my way back into the litigation arena. However, the tireless efforts of Jenna who has truly helped me with the transition of coming home by assisting me with finding gainful employment at a fantastic law firm. I just received a call from this company stating they'd like me to come in and talk about a position. When I kindly asked what the position was for, the woman on the phone explained to me that it would be discussed in the interview. I don't remember applying through this Agency, so I tried to inquire more about them and wanted more info, i.e. "can you send me an email with this documented in it?".
I've had a few scams recently very similar to this since I've been applying for jobs. She started getting a bit short, and asked if there was a time for me to come in and talk with them. I explained that I did have two interviews this week, and asked if she could email me so I can schedule accordingly. Right before she hung up on me, she said "Why don't you call me after your interviews."

Sharon has been absolutely amazing throughout the whole recruitment process! I have never met such a professional and dedicated recruitment person. I absolutely love Houston City Personnel! The recruiters that I've had the opportunity to work with were absolutely awesome! I am currently working for a Fortune 500 company they placed me with. The job before this one, I was there 12 yrs until the company decided to close the doors. I called Houston City and I was working in less than a week! I have had the best experiences with them. Hands down, for me - they are the best staffing agency around!
That was my experience over the past years that I used them. However, just recently I sent a few people to them in particular, my 21 year old daughter and she hasn't had the same experience as I did. I guess the procedure to get registered has changed. I came in to register in person, met a few recruiters, tested and was placed on jobs IMMEDIATELY.
My daughter was told to upload her resume and someone would call her? It's been almost a week - no call. Completely unprofessional, I am shocked and disappointed. I will definitely refer other placement agencies to her now, I just wanted her to have the same professional experience I had with the staff I was lucky to work with years ago - I guess not, I'm guessing they're new new running the show, too bad. Not to mention, the reviews have gone down as well.

I recently had a shot at my dream job, thanks to Charlotte. She was very prompt in setting up an interview with me. She got to know me and my background and knew that I was a good fit with one of her clients. Indeed, for the first time I can say that I absolutely love my job! So, Charlotte knows how to pick the right fit. If your background does not fit any one of the positions that they are trying to fill, then there is only so much they can do. Please understand that. I recommended this agency, specifically Charlotte, to a friend also. Give it a try, they might just have what you are looking for!

I always had a difficult time with recruiting firms. I've met with many different ones who call you in for an interview with their company and forget you ever existed. I was a little skeptical when Houston City Personel contacted me with a few positions but decided to give it a shot anyways. I worked closely with Erin who put me up for some amazing opportunities.
Great pay with great companies. Although I didn't stick the first few she continued to work with me and present me with interviews. She is absolutely amazing to work with. I had a great experience with Houston City. I met with several other staffing agencies and they were not nearly as personable and helpful as Houston City. At the initial meeting with my consultant, we spent over an hour just going over my experience, ways to improve my resume and what types of positions would best fit my personality. They saw great potential in me that i didn't even see in myself.
I was able to start with a temp position for 2 weeks and then secured a full time position. I could not have secured any of these positions without the help of my consultant. I highly recommend this agency!
