Jules Friedman is the go to guy in the Entertainment Industry. He has great relationships and that is why the best companies in town turn to him when they are seeking strong candidates. They know Jules can deliver and he does. Not only for his clients, but also for the many talented candidates that he represents. Jules just placed me with a dream job, and it was thanks to his encouragement and belief in me that the employer was willing to take the initial meeting and consider me as a worthy candidate. I booked the job and start tomorrow. Thanks to Jules and to Matt for being such a professional and supportive team!

As a recent college graduate, I was directed to the Friedman Agency for help in my job search. Matt has been incredibly supportive and helpful in my career journey and worked hard to find opportunities for me. I highly recommend working with them!

I worked with Matt during my search for a position and Jules contacted me a few times for job prospects and interviews as well! They are both very pro active and try their absolute hardest to place you in a position that fits you and your desires weather it be distance, salary, or the area of industry you're looking for. I will definitely contact them again should the time ever come when I need another job and I would recommend them to others as well! Thanks Matt and Jules for every thing!

So I work in film/TV production, which means that I'm often working from gig to gig with some big gaps between productions. I was lucky to be able to started working with the Friedman Agency. Matt has worked tirelessly to get me great temp jobs at some of the biggest production companies in LA, which has allowed me to make some excellent connections while keeping me working throughout the year. They've even put me up for some long term and temp-to-hire jobs.

If you work in the film industry and are trying to get your foot in the door, make some new connections, make some good income between gigs, or even looking for a new long term career path, I highly recommend reaching out to Friedman and getting on their roster.

Jules, Matt, and the entire team at Friedman are absolutely amazing and wonderful; they worked so hard to find me the right positions and companies/environments, and were in constant communication throughout my placements. Friedman is simply the best agency in town for work in entertainment. I thoroughly enjoyed each of my work assignments and credit them with my landing a full time job at a major studio.

A first class agency, that really helps you with every step of the job hunt. They got me interviews with the exact type of companies that I was looking for. Matt was extremely helpful and caring, and I didn't feel like finding a job would be hard, especially during such a hard time period with so many layoffs in the entertainment industry. Very thankful that there are people like them, who go to bat for others, and work extremely hard to make sure a very difficult process becomes easy.

Everyone here is phenomenal! The staff is very professional, helpful, and detail oriented. I highly recommend this agency to anyone who is in search of a job. Matt in particular was instrumental in guiding my career and was super persistent and amazing in the assignments he led me to. I would not have able to land my job now had it not been for Friedman's help in building my resume. Thank you for everything!

I can't express how grateful I am for this agency. Louise in particular guided me the whole way through. I'm so thankful for her powerhouse advice and persistence in leading me into the perfect companies. She believed in me - and that is rare. She fought to put me in the right places because of it. I was hired at a starting position at Ginsberg Libby that allows for growth. I love it here - I couldn't of ask for a more perfect fit. Thanks for everything!

Jules and Matt have a lot of experience, connections, and great opportunities. They reach out right away to try and get you an interview. Although I did not get a meeting or a job with anyone, I highly recommend them.

The Friedman Personnel Agency was an absolute pleasure to work for - my agents were Jules and Matt, who are both absolutely lovely to work for. As a college grad with no professional experience in the entertainment industry, Friedman helped get me interviews at all the major agencies. Temping for both the music and film industry, I was even offered a full time position as a result of being hired on for an extended placement.

Should you find yourself as a college graduate with no experience, or someone who is looking to advance their career in a new direction, The Friedman Personnel Agency is the perfect place. I've referred many friends to the company as well, and many ended up finding extended placements that also resulted in getting a full time job. Overall, I couldn't be more grateful. Friedman was exactly the launch pad I needed to get my career in entertainment started!

I appreciate the work that Friedman does, and I was satisfied with the position they placed me in at an entertainment company. Thankful for Matt and Sandi. They handled payments consistently and provided great support.

I had a bad experience with them. I was placed at a dream company and on my own, I applied to another department for a job. They were aware of my connection to Friedman and had a policy against hiring anyone from a staffing agency but they gave me a shot. After I interviewed, I told Friedman, who screamed at me and screwed me out of the job by calling/yelling at the interviewer. I asked them what salary they requested and they said "that's our business to know, not yours." Assholes. 0 stars.

Jules and Matt were awesome! Within one month, I was able to temp at several prestigious agencies and even one of the Guilds. They got me a direct hire interview at a top agency, where I was hired a week later. There's NO WAY so many doors would've been opened for me if it had not been for them. There was never a shortage of work as long as you were diligent about communicating your availability. Everyone was super nice and friendly and wanted the best for the employees. Jules is very straight-to-the-point, which I appreciated.

I can't praise this agency enough for their help in finding me the perfect employment opportunity. Like many recent transplants to Los Angeles, my hopes were bleak when it came to finding a full-time, permanent position in the entertainment industry. I do not have a bachelor's degree, and had no record of "Hollywood" employment, but through an internship, I was able to receive a referral to Friedman.

It was here that I was assigned my agent/guardian angel, Luise. With Luise's help and guidance, she was able to secure a temp gig for me at a high-level production company, that turned into a permanent job as an assistant on the CEO's desk. Without Luise, I can't imagine where I'd be today, but thanks to her, I don't need to. Much thanks and gratitude to Luise and the entire Friedman staff!

When I first moved to LA, after working on national tours in management as well as for high profile producers. I was told to go here. I met with one of the meanest ladies I had ever encountered. She told me to move back to NYC because I would never get a gig here. "I mean, do you even know how to roll calls?" To this day, I don't know what the hell that means and I have worked for several high level business person since then. I hope it's better, but this place really gets off on making people feel terrible when they are already in a hard situation.

I'll never work with this company, here's why. I received a call on a Friday from Philip, the receptionist, informing me of a position they wanted to submit my resume for. I scheduled a meeting for the upcoming Monday at 2:30. Monday morning I realized Philip never told me the pay so I called to inquire about the compensation. Philip over the phone had somewhat of an attitude when explaining to me he didn't know the pay rate and I'd have to speak to the recruiter for that information.

I didn't make a big deal of it. Red flag #1 An hour later I received a call from Luise, the recruiter, who stated the pay was $45k. I went to my interview with then and did a few assessments on what seemed to be the very first version of Microsoft office. It was very old and outdated. When I met with Luise is when things took a turn for the worst.

The first thing she asked me is if I was an artist or a performer. I replied saying no. She asked, well why is your name spelled like one? Red flag #2 I informed her that I do produce music on the side and had some success in the past but it's still just a side hobby of mine. Her responses was that's fine just don't mention it when interviewing with the client.

Fast forward to that afternoon I received a call from Luise, upon me answering she begins yelling at me telling me that I lied to her. Confused as hell, I asked about what and she tells me that they googled my name and found my alumni page from my school that touches on my music production achievements, saying I held back information from her and I am a performer and an artist and tried to hide it from her.

In my defense I brought to her attention that I informed her on my background and held nothing back. After calming down she said ok and would speak to me later and attempted to hang up the phone but failed to. Unaware that the phone was still connected, she yells to her assistant " I KNEW HE WAS LYING, I KNEW IT THE WHOLE TIME. HE TRIED TO AVOID IT, HE'S GREAT AT AVOIDING." Realizing I was still on the phone she asks "is anyone there?" I replied saying yes I am still here and I heard all of that, and ended the call. I've experienced prejudice people and discrimination plenty of times but this was a lot for me to process. Luise tried to call me back, emailed me, and texted me but I chose not to remain in contact with her or anyone from this agency.

I read the poor reviews on here and I went anyway - giving them the benefit of the doubt that everyone's experience is different. Trust, yours wont be. First you are greeted by a saucy attitude that I almost walked right out on, This man clearly hates his job and possibly his life. I can understand what he does is likely not fun, but if you don't like your job, leave it, don't take it out on people who are in a tuff spot in life themselves and job seeking.

Maybe apply for one of those jobs that goes by your desk every day because again, you clearly hate yours. From there you will be required to give your social security number, birthday, fill out W4's for a job you don't have. some of this is standard now a days - and some of it is shady. Filling out a legal binding agreement - a non-disclosure agreement - is where I draw the line, as did the other woman interviewing with me, we both walked out.

Why do you want me to sign that? You don't want me to write about you, like this, in the public forum? About the shady things you're doing. People only make you sign those, when they do shady things. They will say it's because of celebrity clients - which is bs. Upon hire or fire, some celebs will make you sign those, some may not. but the fact that a hiring agency wants you to sign one?

A legally binding document surrendering your legal rights to sue them, upon hiring, that sets a BAD TONE. They protect themselves by saying they dont want you to tell people who you are interviewing with, with them. Maybe. but trust and believe you are signing a legally binding document, without it being mutually beneficial, without your lawyer. which at it's core sounds bad.

If you go be prepared for a bad greeting, bad attitude, a stack of maybe illegal paperwork they will back up and say it's legally required, and then two hours of tests on MS office, even if you could build the computer yourself that they are testing you on, you still have to take it. Avoid.

So unprofessional and outdated. Sure, some of the notes given to my resume were useful, but I will not be submitting it back to the agency. The whole process took over two hours, and I spent most of that time waiting. The place is a dump! I walked in and there was an old-ass looking "casting couch". I thought I walked into the wrong place. I filled out a bunch of paperwork with my personal information and references.

I then had to take a test on typing/word and excel. You know what version of word and excel they were using? 2003. Two. Thousand. Three. The person I met with was snappy and very condescending. She talked to me in such an accusatory tone. She told me to go online and apply for jobs at company websites. Genius idea, thanks. The worst part was that we didn't even meet in a private area.

There was a chair next to the desk so everyone else in the office could hear our conversation. Everyone could hear her talking to me as if I were an idiot. I didn't appreciate it. I'm personally going through a lot right now and I don't have a clear direction of what I really want to do in life. I have a job currently, I have qualifications, but I'm seeking something more.

I was hoping that this agency (being in a different field than my current one) would be able to give me some ideas, guidance and suggestions). What I was expecting is someone to look at my resume, say "I see you are in a specific field, if you are looking to get into the entertainment field, I would recommend the job titles of this, this and this".

I went to a recruiter because I don't know where to begin. I'm scared of leaving my job, I'm scared of trying something new. If you are in a similar situation to the one that I just described, DO NOT go to the Friedman Agency. You will regret it.
