We help employers increase revenues by lowering staff turnover and providing guidance on tax breaks. Our goal is to maintain a structured job placement and training method that is effective in assisting job seekers in meeting the demands of the business market. Our focus is to provide employers the benefit of government subsidies that strategically reduce payroll costs and increases business profits.
Services
Community Assistance Programs, known as CAPs, was incorporated in 1999 and designated as a not-for-profit by the IRS. CAPs was created to meet the needs of the underprivileged population to enhance their quality of life, an enhancement we believe begins with employment. The primary focus of program activities is employment training and job placement services designed to meet the qualifications and skills of employer partners.

Yes, I received SNAP program brochure, (if no, please request one now) Yes, I received SCSEP Participant Handbook (if applying for the 55+ program) I have also received information regarding the IETC One Stop, Job search and resource labs to further help me obtain employment. I understand as a TANF recipient I will be assigned and must complete 30 hours per week to be eligible for TANF benefits.
Strong track record hiring underserved populations (100% score on DEI, ex-offender hiring). Existing or past un subsidized client of CAPS (partnering in 27 stores across 3 cities in Illinois). Existing or past unsubsidized client of CAPs (1 Bank One Plaza plus retail bank branches). When our security candidates go through the CAPs program they already have their background checks, drug tests, initial screening, and are coached.
CAPs offers pre-employment soft skills training that addresses workplace vocabulary, personal appearance, basic communication skills, basic written communication and a host of preparation workshops. We will assist our job seekers in obtaining and completing required training to qualify for positions that are currently available and committed by employers.

The Community assistance program is a great place to go to, if you need help getting a job. All you have to do, is sign some papers, tell them what kind of job you're interested in, then they'll find you a job similar to what you want. While you're working, they'll work on getting you the actual job you want and they'll let you know when they have everything taken care of.
