America Works is proud of our country and the protesters who have demanded racial justice after the tragic killings of George Floyd, Breonna Taylor, Ahmaud Arbery, and countless other Americans whose lives have been treated as expendable because of the color of their skin. We were founded in 1984 to fight for the rights of the disenfranchised, particularly those who are marginalized based on race.
Our work in combatting systemic racism includes bail reform programs, re-entry programs, and the collaborations we do with municipalities across the United States in support of criminal justice reform and providing job opportunities to those in need.

They claimed to be "a company with a conscience" but it's the exact opposite. I assumed as an employment company, the recruiters are always looking for assignments for their employer's. But they only do that when you first get hired. Once your assignment is up, you have to constantly remind your recruiter that you still exist and are looking for work. This was the worst employment experience that I have ever had!

The careers counselors are the best part of this place. Whomever the director or manger woman of center is has no people skills, at all. Yes, in that place you will meet people that may have comprehension skills or may not speak English but the phony smile while saying something rude is not it. You honestly must have patience when working in this industry. I would assume her title is POTUS with the attitude she keeps.

The place is crowded, my anxiety goes through the roof, and the wait time can get ridiculous. Though I must add that MOST of the staff there are friendly, professional, and do their jobs. To be a job thats linked in the system, I'm rather surprised. Sales Reps - Jonathan P and Tony Advisor - Chenequa S Security- Paul The guy that does orientation and the receptionist in whom names i cannot recall are all awesome employees
